Ceramics for BeginnersART 1055 (4 credits)

Maynard Tischler will teach this Interterm course for TWC students who have little or no prior experience working with clay. Professor Tischler will use slides, demonstrations, and instructions to introduce students to working with clay. Students will complete 3-4 pieces of functional ceramics and one small-scale sculpture in the course. All pieces will be decorated, glazed, and fired by the completion of the final class.

Creativity for WomenART 2000 (4 credits)

Fearless PhotographyART 2400 (4 credits)

The course will begin by introducing students to the language of photography. Students will then be familiarized with basic camera techniques in the photographic studio. Each student will shoot individual or combination photographic portraits in the studio,. Then students wiil make black and white fphotographic prints in the darkroom. Each student will prepare one of their final photographs for an exhibition.

Special Topics in ArtART 2701 (4 credits)

The course introduces students to histories of art across various time periods and cultures. The exploration of topics in art history varies, reflecting the interests and expertise of the instructor.
